Welcome UBP goers to Spookiez Spot!

Help yourself to a cocktail and feel free to put your feet up. We are pretty casual around here. You can poke around in my previous posts, visit some of my friends, and even be nosy and see what I am reading :)

Let me introduce myself, I am Spookygirl AKA Beckie. I am the mistress of this domain. I am a lactivist, intactivist, I homeschool my kids, and I run the local SpiralScouts circle here abouts. I am an Attachment Parent and a Pagan. If any of those things offend, please feel free to mosey on to other digs, cause I don't take kindly to people who don't play nice. I am a Doctor Who fan, an avid reader and a wanna be crafter. I blog about all of these things as the whim takes me.

I am joined in this journey by my DH, Dean. He's a truck drivin', flight simmin', R/C car buildin' kinda guy.

And my kids, who I do blog about, post pictures of and refer to by name *GASP*

Michael, age 18, he's a DnD affectionato who's best friend is his XBOX. His girlfriend is a cutie, and he lives with my mom up in the beautiful Bay Area :0)

Danielle, age 7, she's in 2nd grade and dreams of being an artist. She loves science and dancing!

Jack-Jack, age 4, is a train loving boy. Chuggington, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Spongebob are his favorite shows and books about things that go are his favorite books.

Also in our little family, we have a dog named Sadie, a chihuahua/who knows what mix, and Merlyn, a domestic short hair cat, both of whom we adopted at the SPCA, two frogs, that Danielle raised from tadpoles, and a small compost bin full of red wrigglers who we consider pets.

You never know what I am gonna post about next. I started this blog almost 6 years ago (June 19th is my blogiversary!), to make it easier for family and friends to keep up with what was up with the kids and such. It's grown into much more then that. I love each and every one of my readers, and appreciate the fact that they are interested enough to keep coming back, and reading, and every once in a while commenting. Comments are like Dark Chocolate Kisses to bloggers ;0)

Anyways, if I forgot to cover something, feel free to ask away in my comments, I try to reply to any questions is a super timely manner.

Hi Spooky. Nice to meet ya. :)
I'll be trying some AP stuff (babywearing, co-sleeping) when my daughter comes home. I'll have to work hard to overcome her life in the orphanage and get her to bond with me. So stick around my blog. You might be able to offer some advice.

You should go check out my sister's blog. She's a lactivist, inactivist, AP, tried homeschooling, working on a midwifery degree, mother of 5. You two would get along great. www.talesofthets.blogspot.com

Thanks for stopping by, Spookie. We have a number of similar interests, and although I'm not as involved as I once was, my husband and I did have a handfasting instead of a wedding ... broom jumping and all. :)

Hi, Spookie! Came across your space via Twitter... Will be following you here and on Twitter. I'm over at http://hiccup-in-time.blogspot.com. :-D

Our Hearth is no longer active. The two elder ones aren't as interested as I thought they might be, and the youngest is now just getting old enough to get interested.

It's very nice and refreshing to meet you.
