There are some things here that are uniquely Fresno..

The Chaffee Zoo, Storyland/Playland, The Underground Gardens, and the Tower District spring to mind. Most of these I have experienced time and time again. Heck, when the weather gets better we'll probably be spending a lot of time at the zoo as we now live around the corner, LOL!

But there is one uniquely Fresno insitution that I have yet to experience, and I am sort of sad about that. That is
Rogue Festival. It's often hard for me as a mom to get out and take time for something that is purely for me. And while many of the shows are family friendly, I just seem to never be able to get to them. Schedule conflicts, runny noses, and more have conspired to keep me away.

So this year, I am going to really, really try to make it to one or two shows. But for those of you who are able, let me point out some of my friends and acquaintances who will be preforming for your pleasure!

Tanjora Tribal Bellydance, includes my friend Lydia. Their show
Sea of Dreams will be:

5:30 PM, Fri., 3/5
4:00 PM, Sat., 3/6
8:30 PM, Sun., 3/7
6:30 PM, Sat., 3/13
Latecomers admitted
California Arts Academy SEVERANCE -1401 N Wishon

Songs4Pints stars two of my friends, Russell and Kim, and their show will be:

6:15 PM, Sat., 3/6
8:45 PM, Wed., 3/10
8:45 PM, Sat., 3/13

And last but certainly not least, Tony Blanco's Traveling Magic Show a huge favorite of my family's, his shows will be:

Tony Blanco’s Traveling Magic Show is a celebration of Magic, Mime, Storytelling and Circus Arts. Fresno’s Marvelous Magical Entertainer features a traveling magic show like those that traveled the roads during vaudeville times now with a modern twist. The show also features lots of family fun in which Tony has created a wonderful show that is an interactive program. Magic, Stories and Music are strong parts of his program which inspires young at young at heart.

Hey, would your friend Kim be interested in swapping bodhran lessons for massage? I have one and want to learn to play.
