when they are still small enough that mommy kisses fix everything?
When Danielle falls down, bumps her head or scrapes her knee, she asks for kisses. I give her a kiss on her boo-boo, and she says it's "all better!" and skips off like nothing was ever wrong. Kisses can calm the tears when they are still so little, and soon enough they learn that mommy kisses aren't really magic, but for now, she still believes.
