Halloween Fairy

Okay, so I heard this great idea for what to do with Halloween candy, and I just have to share it with you!

Create the Halloween Fairy in your family! This works best if you start when they are really little, so they can grow up with the idea like the tooth fairy, ya know? What the Halloween Fairy does is she takes all candy and gives it to children who didn't get to go trick or treating, and leaves a gift for the child. The way it works is you let your child choose X number of pieces of candy they really, really want. You decide how many is okay for your family. They take the rest of the candy and put it by their bed that night. The fairy comes and takes the candy (and disposes of it properly, LOL!) and leaves money, or a special gift for the child. That way everybody wins, the kids get to trick or treat, and get to keep some candy, without going overboard on the sugar, they still get a nice present from the fairy!

I am going to start with DD this year. DS is too old to trick or treat, so no worries there!
